SUMMARY Doroteo Arango Aranbula was born June 5th 1877 and died June 20th 1923 " A hero to some and a villain to others." Pancho Villa was a ruthless modern day Robin hood.When he was only 16 he killed his first victom. Pancho villa killed a rich hacienda owner because he tried raping his sister after doin so villa hid in the mountians for hide out only to become part of a gang led by Fransisco Pancho Villa. After Fransisco Pancho Villa died Arongo took over his name and became leader of the one of the mast notorious gangs. In 1910 Villa and his gang became involved in the revolt against mexican dictator Porfirio Diaz. The revolt was a sucess but a few years later switching sides made villa an outlaw once again. Throught the next decade Pancho villa made his way around the U.S mexico border robbing, killing and russling cattle to live villa would still less herds of cattle to selll them north of the border im Mexico. Some people compared him to Robin Hood. In 1913 villa formed a military group of many thousands of men they were the division del norte. Villa and his bandits raided many farmers for their cattle and killed many men and women.Villa and his “pistoleros” launched raids along the U.S.- Mexico throuout arizona.Fransisco Pancho Villa had believed in Madero and was devastated by his death. He quickly joined an alliance of Zapata and revolution newcomers Venustiano Carranza and Alvaro Obregón dedicated to removing Huerta. By then, Villa's Division of the North was the most powerful and feared military unit in the nation and his soldiers numbered in the tens of thousands. Huerta was surrounded and outnumbered, even though Orozco had returned and joined him, bringing his army with him.Pancho Villa led the fight against Huerta, defeating federal forces in cities all over northern Mexico. Carranza, a former governor, named himself Chief of the Revolution, which irritated Villa although he accepted it. Villa did not want to be president, but he did not like Carranza. Villa saw him as another Porfirio Díaz and wanted someone else to lead Mexico once Huerta was out of the picture. In May of 1914 the way was clear for an attack on the strategic town of Zacatecas, where there was a major railway junction that could carry the revolutionaries right into Mexico City. Villa attacked Zacatecas on June 23.The Battle of Zacatecas was a huge military victory for Villa.Doroteo Arango Aranbula was assasinated in 1920 pancho villa accepted a deal with a new mexican government surrenduring in exchange for Thousands of acres of land in Dugango Mexico. He was assasinated 3 years later without any trace of his killers.
